![]() ![]() Tate and Miles have a connection that is undeniable and incredibly well written. ![]() I have this visual in my head of him and it’s fantastic. As that relationship begins to be explored, we quickly find there are some dark secrets in the past that can absolutely ruin a persons future. In the process she meets some of her brothers best friends from pilot school. ![]() “Ugly Love” follows the story of Tate Collins as she moves in with her brother to finish nursing school and work. So if you are expecting a PG 13 story like most of Hoover’s other books… this one would likely be rated R for some sexual content. I was surprised to find this was more Romance/Women’s Fiction than YA Fiction. When I read about “Ugly Love” I knew I had to give it a try. All aimed towards a YA Fiction audience, in my opinion. I loved her books “Finding Hope” And “Hopeless”. They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.Ĭolleen Hoover has always been a YA Fiction writer to me. ![]() Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Essential Judge Dredd: America will be available in September 2020 and retailing at $25.00 US/£19.99 UK from all good comic retailers. ![]() The graphic novel series is slated to continue onto it’s second book in November 2020 with Essential Judge Dredd: Origins, the unprecedented epic that sees Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra return to tell the origin story of their greatest creation. And still, even it relied on a plucky robin to guide its heroine, the sassy Mary Lennox, to a literal key that opens the titular Secret Garden. While Burnett’s 1911 novel never shied from the rough stuff - like most of her work, the book is concerned with orphans and illness - it used real-world pains to make its pleasures richer. ![]() We’re talking, of course, about the robin redbreast, a cheery, chattering little bird responsible for one of the story’s biggest revelations. Well, at Disney, it is prohibited for cast members to say they "played" certain characters, because the characters are "real." Cast members can, however, tell someone they "hung out with" characters. So, to answer your question, some of the more popular characters I "hung out with" included: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Lilo, and Stitch. There were always seven or eight of us walking around the park at one time in Mickey Mouse costumes, but when people would ask, "How many Mickeys are there here?", the answer was always, "One." And for whatever time those guests are in the park, they really believe it. When you go to work at Disney, your most important job is to keep the illusion of Disney alive. And there was a lot of stuff I learned there, but I think above all else it was this: In my six years working as a Walt Disney World "cast member" (that's what they called us), I did everything from working attraction lines, to taking pictures of park guests with costumed characters, to being an actual costumed character (more on that one in a minute).
